Terra Creta’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil, among the finest oils of the world again by winning one Gold and one Silver Medal Award at the “Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition 2010”. By an impressive list of judges to taste the finest domestic and International extra virgin olive oils, the ‘Terra Creta Estate PDO Kolymvari EVOO’ and the ‘Terra Creta Classic EVOO’ have been both distinguished for their outstanding taste and character, in the category of medium fruitiness, out of a range of 514 oils and 298 producers from different countries.

19/06/2010 Terra Creta SA and China in a business agreement of great significance
In a business agreement of high importance, Terra Creta SA and a Chinese importing company have concluded, making one more immense leap to the company’s consolidation in the Chinese rapidly developing market. The agreement reaches the high amount of 500.000 € and was signed under the arrival in Athens of the Vice President of the Government of People's Republic of China, Zhang Dejiang, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 19 June 2010. Terra Creta SA has been established in the specific market since 2005, having managed to widen its exports in more than thirty cities with continually increasing sales. The specific agreement confirms the rising of Terra Creta SA which, with its removal to its new facilities the last few months, focuses on even more widening the amount of exports in more than 25 countries worldwide.

29/06/2009 Terra Creta's spray bottles are winners again
The innovative spray bottles of Terra Creta (available with Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Balsamic Vinegar of Crete) won two Gold Medals during the exhibition "Elaiotechnia 2009" in Athens.  The first one was for the "Innovation" and the second for the bottle and the spray pump as a "product".

04/02/2009 New Gold Prize for Terra Creta 's Extra Virgin Olive Oil
In the recent international Olive Oil tasting in France from the "’Agence pour la Valorisation des Produits Agricoles - AVPA" (Organization for the Valorization of the Agricultural products), Terra Creta 's PDO Kolymvari Extra Virgin Olive Oil took the higher degree among the other olive oils  and was awarded with the GOLD metal in the category "Huile d' Olive fruitee'" (fruitty taste Extra Virgin Olive Oil).  The tasting took place on 26 March 2009, in Paris.

This is due to the high demand from the USA consumers for transparency and safety in the food chain.

 There is a lot of talk in the industry about appropriate levels of transparency, and how much information the shopper needs, wants and should have access to. My general feeling is that we should just make everything and anything available to shoppers – they’re probably going to find out anyway, thanks to the communications technologies that not only make such transparency possible, but inevitable.

 An MNB user wrote in recently about a kind of model that he saw for optimum transparency, and I’m so impressed with the product and the process that I want to recommend that you check it out.

I can even see a map of the specific field where the olive oil came from and watch a video of the process.

 In short, it is utterly, completely transparent. No secrets here.

 Will it be easy? Of course not. Will it be counter-intuitive for an industry that often has taken a 9 Cfather knows best” approach to communicating with consumers? Sure…but if anything, that is why it is a goal worth pursuing.
