Terra Creta has been certified under the KRAV standard, from BIOHELLAS.  KRAV is a very strict standard for Organic Extra Virgin Olive OIl production and bottling, and is obligatorry in the Swedish market.

During the last olive oil tasting competition "Olive Japan 2012" in Tokyo, our product "Terra Creta Estate PDO Kolymvari Extra Virgin Olive Oil" received the Silver award.

Our participation in the biggest food fair in Russia "PRODEXPO 2011"on February 2011 completed sucsesfully. We 've seen a great interest for our quality products not only from the Russian market, but also from other countries of the region.

26/10/2011 New International Award for the Terra Creta Organic Olive Oil

In the recent tasting competition BIOL INTERNATIONAL 2011, the Terra Creta Organic PDO Kolymvari Extra Virgin Olive Oil, has been Awarded with the International Prize “Best Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils”.

This Award is very important since BIOL INTERNATIONAL 2011, took place in the city of ANDRIA in Italy, with more than 380 participants from 19 countries, covering almost all the olive oil production regions.

16/07/2011 Terra Creta SA visits Drexel University, PA, USA (May 2011)
Terra Creta’s product innovation, business model and export orientation were the main criteria for selecting the company to participate in the specialized course "Mediterranean Economy Regional Studies in Economic Policy & International Business" conducted at LeBow College of Business/International Business Dept- Greek Studies Program of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA USA.

This is a unique course, in US business schools, inspired by Dr. Maria Hnaraki and conducted by Adjunct Faculty Theodore Katerinakis, in which CEOs from diverse Greek companies/organizations are presenting their cases to close to senior-year students. Terra Creta presented its philosophy and strategy towards international markets focusing on its penetration in USA market; Terra Creta’s products are already listed in major retailers like Whole Foods Markets, Harris Teeter, Meijer’s and HEB.

Students were attracted by the olive oil tasting session, the innovative packaging, and the market analysis data while very much appreciated Terra Creta’s olive oil samples.

Retail planning and integrated approach to olive oil production, using all sub-products, was in the agenda for specific meetings with Drexel community and members of the “Tri-state” business leadership. Meetings were held with the following:

R. John Chapel Jr. Dean of LeBow College of Business, Professor George Tsetsekos, who was impressed with the traceability feature, and discussed practices of major US distributors.

Director of Greek Studies Dr. Maria Hnaraki who presented various collaboration initiatives including the Vidalakis coop in Crete, the visit of Drexel Abroad in Crete students in company’s headquarters, as well as the publication of flip-books documenting ancient olive trees in Kolymvari region, as part of the World Heritage listings.

Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics Antonios Kontsos regarding methods of pomace and olive mill wastes reuse.

President & CEO of Netronix Group Dr. Vassileios Nasis considering advanced combinations of traceability with remote data transfer interfaces.

CEO & Chairman of Greek- American Chamber of Commerce of Philadelphia (with New Jersey & Delaware) Mr. Stavros Antonanakis who provided networking opportunities with several trade communities in US and Canada.

 
12/07/2011 Terra Creta in Biofach 2011
Our participation in BIOFACH 2011 ended succesfully with two new awards for our organic products. 

Terra Creta's PDO Kolymvari Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, was selected twice by the participants for the "TOP 10" recognition for it's exceptional quality and taste.

20/06/2011 Visit to our facilities from representatives of 40 countries

Last Saturday, a delegation of diplomats from 40 countries visited our facilities during a "three days visit"  to our island. Invited by Greek authorities they had the opportunity to learn more about olive oil, local farming technics, certified production standards and many more detailed procedures that needs to be followed for a high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil production and bottling.
